Inspection blitz follows tire fatality

The story of a Stoney Creek woman who was killed when a tire smashed into her car after coming off a pickup truck is raising some serious questions about unsafe vehicles on the road.

Today in Campbellville, Halton Regional Police teamed up with other police agencies and the MTO to pull commercial vehicles off the road today to perform routine inspections. CHCH News was there for just over an hour. But in that time almost all of the trucks brought in had something wrong with them, which didn’t come as a surprise to police. Melissa Raftis reports:
