Residents of downtown Hamilton concerned over increasing vehicle break-ins

First Published:

Residents in downtown Hamilton are having growing concerns over the amount of car break ins and vehicles that are being vandalized.

Dan Myles has footage that shows a man, walking on Colbourne street near Macnab, smashing the passengers side window of his neighbours truck.

In the video the man comes over tries the door, he pulls out his crow bar and bends the door frame, breaks the window, goes through the truck, takes nothing and leaves.

While Dan says he’s disappointed this is happening in his neighbourhood, he’s not surprised.

Hamilton police were not available for an interview today, but they have said in the past-they want the public to call police for all break ins and car thefts so they can keep track of them.
