One of the biggest events of the year in Hamilton has just gotten underway, as the music and arts festival Supercrawl kicks off.

The event includes concerts, fashion shows and art installations, drawing huge crowds to James Street North.

The sounds of Supercrawl filled the streets early Friday, as vendors set up along James Street North for the weekend, ready to show their art to the city.

All you have to do is walk through the streets to see Hamilton art on full display.

The SuperMarket is a space where vendors can come in and set up shop for free.

From the streets to the stage, Supercrawl will be filled with music all weekend.

Headlining the festival on Friday is The Halluci Nation, an award winning group of Indigenous DJs, at 10:30 p.m.
