Ontario heading back into lockdown starting on Saturday

Sources tell CHCH News that the Ford government is triggering a province-wide 28-day emergency break starting this Saturday, in response to the rapid rise in covid-19 cases and hospitalizations.

Restrictions will be similar to the grey-lockdown level. No indoor or patio dining will be allowed at restaurants, indoor fitness and hair salons will be closed essential retail will be limited to 50% capacity and non-essential retail to 25% capacity.

The decision comes after a new report shows there are now more covid patients in Ontario intensive care units than at any other point in the pandemic
