Growth of Brantford brings plenty of new developments to the city

We welcomed the mayor of Brantford, Kevin Davis, to talk about all that has been going on in the city, and there has been a lot.
The Brantford Bulldogs just finished their first season in the telephone city, which brought a lot of people in to watch the games and the excitement was real at the Civic Centre. There are plans to build a sports and entertainment centre right next door to the centre, but right now they are looking asking for business partnerships and will make decisions in the fall.
Brantford also has a lot of geared to income housing, as a way to address the housing problem and provide for those most in need.
“We developed a very ambitious plan three years ago, about 850 units over 10 years. We’re already about 40% to that target.” said Mayor Davis.
They also have 29 units that they call stacked tiny homes. They are modular construction by ANC, and they can be put up in weeks once the site is prepared.
The housing also brings in more people to the city though, which means they need a new reimagined Brantford Transit Network to help with the growth of the city, that is being worked on now and extended out to the industrial sector.
