As we head into summer, and prepare for the bugs that come with the season, you may want to put that anti-itch cream back on the shelf.

A new review finds that few of the over-the-counter bug bite remedies actually work.

Researchers in Britain could not find any evidence that antihistamines or steroid creams provide any relief.

Creams containing pain killers or anesthesia were found to be “marginally” effective.

Experts say that most bug bites don’t require treatment.
