Future Dog Guide puppies in need of loving foster homes

First Published:

Several litters of poodle puppies are in need of loving but temporary foster homes.

Little Abby, Alma, Aqua, Alcot and Austin are in need of foster homes for the first year of their lives before they train to become Dog Guides.

The Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides Program is looking for families within a 75-minute driving distance of Breslau and will pay for the expenses of looking after a pup.

Dog Guides has 39 poodles that will need a temporary foster home within the next month.

Sam Hobbs from Dog Guides says the dogs offer their clients more independence, “these guys are really going to hopefully change somebody’s life in the future.”

Dog Guides offer seven different streams for the pups, from seeing-eye dogs to alerting those with diabetes of blood sugar imbalances.
