Woman sexually assaulted by man pretending to be ride-share driver

Toronto police are investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted by a man pretending to be a ride-share driver.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Monday in the Eglinton Ave. West and Jane St. area.

Police say a 28-year-old woman got into a vehicle she believed was her ride and the man behind the wheel claimed to be her driver.

The man allegedly drove the victim to a parking lot and sexually assaulted her. Police say he also made death threats toward the woman.

The suspect is described as 25 to 35 years old with a brown complexion, small build, and a short beard.

The vehicle is described as a grey or silver car with 4 doors.
