Woman hospitalized after being struck by bus in Oakville, police say

Halton police say a 75-year-old woman has been hospitalized after being struck by a bus in Oakville.

In a post on X, officers say they are on scene investigating a collision between a bus and a woman who was taken to hospital with serious injuries.


Police say the collision occurred around 10:55 a.m.

McCraney Street East between Trafalgar Road and Sewell Drive were closed while authorities were on scene.

The roads have since been reopened.

Police have confirmed the woman that was struck by the bus has suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries and remains in hospital.

Investigators have determined the woman was crossing the street when she was struck.
