Woman charged in early morning crash

A woman in her twenties faces charges after a single vehicle crash on Stone Church Road in Hamilton early this morning.

Police say the driver was the only person in the car, which flipped over onto its roof after striking a hydro pole near Upper Wentworth around 2:30 a.m.

The woman was able to get out of the car before crews arrived and had only minor injuries.

She admitted to police that she had been texting when it happened.
