With the Labour Day holiday come the usual changes to the routine.
Government offices, libraries, banks, the LCBO and beer stores will all be closed, along with most grocery & retail stores.
There’s no mail delivery, but electricity will be at the off-peak rate all day. And in most areas, garbage and recycling collection will be delayed a day all week.
Lots of attractions will stay open, including the Ontario Science Centre, Canada’s Wonderland, Wild Waterworks, the Canadian Warplane Heritage museum and of course the CNE is wrapping up with its air show.
Malls in tourist-designated areas will also be open, including Vaughan Mills, the Eaton Centre, Square One, Bramalea City Centre, and the Canada One Factory Outlet in Niagara Falls.
As for getting there, most transit services are running on Sunday schedules but may start with earlier hours. Burlington Transit has a special holiday schedule.
