Welland outbreak over

A MRSA outbreak at the Welland General Hospital has been declared over.

The outbreak was declared on September 13th when seven cases of the bug were reported on the fourth floor surgical unit of the hospital.

MRSA is a bacteria that lives on the skin of healthy people and is often resistant to antibiotics.
