Video shows man rollerblading away from police on Hamilton’s Linc

There was a slow-moving police chase on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway Sunday morning as officers attempted to stop a man rollerblading through traffic.

A video posted in the Hamilton Neighbourhood Watch Facebook group shows a man inline skating in the westbound lanes of the highway just before Upper James St. in Hamilton.

Tiffanie Davies and her partner were on their way to Ancaster for Easter brunch around 10 a.m. when two police cruisers passed them on the highway.

Davies, who was in the passenger seat, took out her phone and captured the chase.

The witnesses say the man crossed the median into other lanes of traffic, then crossed again going the wrong way.

Police say the man was eventually stopped and told what he was doing was illegal and dangerous.
