About 500 teenagers from both Hamilton school boards gathered at Liuna Station for the Totally Awesome Young Women’s Breakfast.

The annual event, which is hosted by the YWCA, encourages young women to love themselves, celebrate their accomplishments and learn that their contributions are important. The women enjoyed a warm breakfast before taking part in activities aimed at engaging and celebrating empowerment.

This year’s key note speaker was decorated poet and theatre practitioner D’bi.young Anitafrika.
