Hamilton Police investigateing sexual assault on Hillside Trail

Update: 

The Hamilton Police Service Sexual Assault Unit has investigated the incident and it is no longer being pursued as a sexual assault pccurance.

There are no suspects being looked for and there is no threat to public safety.

At approximately 9:20pm on Monday April 18th, 2016 a female victim was jogging on the Hillside Trail between Osler Drive and Meadow Lane in Dundas.

She observed a male approaching her on the trail.  The male grabbed her and forced her to the ground where she was sexually assaulted.

The victim was released by the suspect and fled Northbound along the trail.

The suspect is described as:

• Male
• White
• 6 ft. tall
• approx. 200-250lbs
• Wearing dark blur hoodie and dark blue or black jeans.
