Toronto Woman Killed in Pittsburgh Synagogue Shooting

A gunman shot and killed eight men and three women in the “Tree of Life” synagogue in Pittsburgh yesterday before a tactical team tracked him down and shot him. He’s recovering in hospital while families and communities mourn the loss of 11 people who were senselessly murdered.
Among the victims of this horrific massacre was 75 year old Joyce Feinberg from Toronto.

Her confirmation photo is on our Wall of Honour.” Joyce has family members in the congregation in Toronto but spent most of her career as a researcher at the University of Pittsburgh.
The victims’ ages range from 54 to 97 and include a pair of brothers and a husband and wife. The 97 year old was a Holocaust survivor.
