Suspect wanted following hate-motivated incident in Brantford
Brantford police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect following a hate-motivated incident.
Officers say they responded to a call near Brant’s Crossing Riverfront Park, where a man is alleged to have been threatened and assaulted by another man around 11 a.m. on Sunday.
Police say a man on a dirt bike was reported to be driving aggressively in the area when he became involved in a verbal dispute with the victim.
The accused allegedly made racially charged death threats towards the victim. Officers say the accused also damaged the victim’s bicycle.
Investigators say the accused used his dirt bike to spin the back tire to throw rocks at the victim before fleeing the area.

The suspect vehicle is described as a red dirt bike with a white fender panel, last seen travelling on Icomm Dr. towards Colborne St. West.
The accused is described as a white man, around five-foot-six, thin build, in his 20’s wearing a red and white open visor style helmet.
Police say no physical injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The man on the dirt bike is expected to face multiple charges including utter death threats, mischief, assault with a weapon and more.
