Serious crash in Markham sends one to hospital

A 19-year-old driver is recovering in hospital with a broken leg after a serious crash Saturday morning in Markham.

Emergency crews were called around 2 a.m. after a grey sedan smashed into numerous parked cars, and came to a stop with its back wheels up in the air.

York police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Investigations continue. Police have made no arrests.
