A terrifying ride for people aboard a roller coaster in Daytona Beach, Florida Thursday night.

Two riders fell 10 metres to the ground when the ride derailed, sending them to hospital with serious injuries.

Eight others had to be pulled to safety above the Daytona Beach Boardwalk.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
