Pre-trial hearing set for Qian Liu accused

The man accused of killing a York University student was back in court Tuesday.

Brian Dickson, 29, appeared by video in a Toronto courtroom, as a date was set for his pre-trial hearing. It will take place in August.

Dickson has been kept in custody since being charged with first degree murder in the death of Qian Liu, 23. She was chatting online with her boyfriend in China when he saw her struggling with a man who came to her door.

Lisa Hepfner was in the courtroom for Dickson’s appearance.
