Niagara police have arrested and charged a Port Colborne woman who worked as a high school bus monitor for a regional transportation company for making sexually explicit material available to minors.
The woman was an employee of Fort Erie-based Switzer-Carty Transportation.
The Niagara police service’s Internet Child Exploitation and Technological Crimes units began a joint investigation in October that led to her arrest on Nov. 12.
Cheri-Lyn Weaver, 33, has been charged with “Making Sexually Explicit Material Available — under 18 — Sexual Exploitation.”
Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact Niagara police at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009172.
Those who wish to provide information anonymously can contact Crime Stoppers of Niagara online or at 1-800-222-8477. Crime Stoppers offers cash rewards to persons who contact the program with information that leads to an arrest.
