Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in connection with a Thorold stabbing.
On Saturday at around 9:10 p.m., officers were called to a local hospital for a report of an adult woman being treated for a stab wound.
Investigators attended and discovered that a second adult woman was at the hospital also being treated for a stab wound.
Detectives say an altercation took place between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. near the intersection of Tucker Street and Lamb Crescent.
Police say the altercation involved two youth males and an unknown male suspect.

Officers say the altercation turned physical and the two adult women tried to intervene as one of the youths was related to the women.
Investigators say the suspect used a knife to wound the two adult women and a youth male. All injuries are minor.
Detectives say the suspect is a white male between the ages of 16 and 20, is around five-foot-eight tall, has short brown hair and was last seen wearing a red sweater that was possibly plaid or checkered.
