Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in locating a suspect in connection to two robberies, one in Port Colborne and the other in Welland.
On Saturday at around 10:31 p.m., officers responded to a report of a convenience store robbery in the area of Main Street East and Dolphin Street in Port Colborne.
Initial information provided to officers was that an unknown male suspect attended the store, brandished a knife and made a demand for cash.
Investigators say the suspect fled westbound on a bicycle with an undisclosed amount of cash and several other items.
In a separate incident on Sunday at around 7:20 a.m., officers were called to another report of a robbery at a convenience store in the area of Southworth Street North and Lewis Street in Welland.
Police say they were advised that an unknown man with a knife robbed the store after arriving on a bicycle. The male fled on foot along Lewis Street with a handful of stolen items.

Detectives say no injuries were reported in either incident.
Officers believe the same man is responsible for both robberies.
They describe the suspect as a white man between the ages of 25 and 35, who is 5-foot-11 tall, weighs around 185 lb, has brown or black hair in a short buzz cut and a beard.
Investigators say he was last seen wearing a beige toque, a black winter or fall vest, a black-hooded sweater, black cargo pants and black work or hiking boots.
