A 22-year-old Hamilton man is in hospital with life-threatening injuries after he was stabbed early Saturday morning.
Charles Jankevicius remains at Hamilton General Hospital after he was stabbed in the city’s east end, reportedly in the head.
Forensic officers were at a house on Centennial Parkway Sunday searching for evidence. Police had been called to the home around 4:30 am Saturday. Police say a party was going on at the time and a fight broke out between Jankevicius and a man who lives in the home.
Police are looking for 28-year-old Richard Jessop, who’s wanted for attempted murder and breach of probation.
Jessop was arrested back in 2005 in connection with the death of a Niagara Falls man who was stabbed in the chest. He eventually turned himself in to police and was convicted of manslaughter.
Jessop is described as 6’4″ and close to 200 lbs. He has short brown hair and brown eyes. Hamilton Police say he is considered dangerous.
