Police release video of Stoney Creek shooting in hopes of identifying suspects

Hamilton police have released video of a shooting in Stoney Creek last weekend in hopes of identifying the two suspects involved.

It happened shortly before 10 p.m. Saturday in the area of Glover Road and Lakeshore Drive.

The force’s shooting response team shared surveillance video Wednesday, which appears to show a person getting out of a vehicle at the end of a driveway and firing at least six gunshots.

The suspect then runs back into what police believe may be a 2018-20 black or dark-coloured Acura TLX and another suspect drives off. Officers say both suspects were wearing dark clothing.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

The motive for the shooting is under investigation, but police believe it was targeted.

People who were in the area at the time of the shooting are asked to check their surveillance or dash camera video.
