Police investigate report of shots fired in Halton Hills

Halton police are investigating after a report of shots fired in Halton Hills early Tuesday morning.

It happened around 4 a.m. on Eighth Line, just north of 5 Side Road.

Officers actively worked the scene, and local residents and motorists were advised to stay away while authorities investigated.

Police say the incident is believed to be isolated in nature with no reported injuries and no known threat to public safety.

The road was closed in the morning but has since reopened.
