Police investigate hate-motivated incident at Oakville soccer club
Halton police are investigating after the Oakville Soccer Club was damaged in what police are calling a “hate motivated incident.”
Police were called to the club on Pine Glen Rd. on Aug. 29 after someone spray-painted hate/bias-related symbols and words on the club’s building as well as on the ground of the surrounding property.
Investigators say they will not be releasing the details about the actual graffiti to avoid further spreading the intended hateful message.
Police are asking members of the public with any information that could assist in identifying those responsible to come forward.
Anyone with information regarding the incident or who may have dash camera footage of the area from the overnight hours on Aug. 29 is asked to contact police at 905-825-4747, ext. 2284.
