Police investigate early morning shooting in Halton Hills

Halton police are currently investigating an early morning shooting incident in the Georgetown area of Halton Hills.

Shortly after 3 a.m. officers responded to reports of gunfire on James Young Drive.

Police say that the suspect or suspects fled prior to officers arriving.

Several rounds were fired into a home and a parked vehicle in the driveway.

A natural gas line was ruptured but was sealed off and made safe by firefighters.

There are no reported injuries.

Police forensic and criminal investigators are currently at the scene.

Anyone with doorbell or home security camera or dashcam footage of anything suspicious in the area around 3 a.m. is asked to contact Halton police.
