Melanin Market builds community through Black entrepreneurship

Did you know that only 1.3 per cent of black adults in Canada call themselves entrepreneurs compared with 2.3 per cent of Canadian adults overall? The founder of the Melanin Market, Khadija Hamidu, alongside vendor Honey Kekereekun, are working to change that, with a platform that continues to create economic opportunities, strengthen local connections, and celebrate the diversity of Black and POC communities across Canada.
