Police investigate after pedestrian struck by vehicle in east Hamilton

Hamilton police are investigating after a pedestrian man was hit by a vehicle Wednesday afternoon in the area of Gage Avenue North near Beach Road.

Officers say at around 4:11 p.m. emergency services found a man who had been struck and sent him to hospital.

They initially believed his injuries to be serious, but it was later determined to be non-life-threatening.

Police say that the incident was not a hit-and-run, and that the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

Officers say they will not release information for the people involved in the collision.
