Hamilton police conclude east mountain sexual assault investigation

Hamilton police have identified all parties involved in a sexual assault on the east mountain Saturday night.

On Saturday night, a woman was walking home when she was forced into a vehicle and driven to a separate location where she was sexually assaulted.

The woman was soon located, medically assessed and released.

Authorities believe this was a targeted incident.

Investigators add that there is no ongoing threat to public safety in relation to this incident.

Hamilton police are reminding the public that they remain committed to thoroughly investigating all reports of sexual violence.
