Hamilton police investigating after woman abducted, sexually assaulted

Hamilton police are investigating after a woman was abducted and sexually assaulted Saturday night on the east mountain.

Officers say in the late evening hours on March 28, a woman was walking home when she was forced into a vehicle and driven to a separate location where she was sexually assaulted.

Authorities believe this was a targeted incident. The woman has been located, medically assessed and released.

Investigators are searching for a lone suspect they describe as a five-foot-eight tall Black man in his late 20s to early 30s with a medium build. They add he was last seen wearing a black jacket.
