Plans for a gas-fired power plant in Mississauga have been moved to the back burner.

After taking the heat from voters and the opposition, the Liberals announced today that construction of the Sherway generating plant has been halted for good, and that the controversial plant will be relocated. That’s good news for the Mississauga residents who opposed the development. But as Scot Urquhart reports, the story may not have a happy ending for taxpayers.
