McGuinty throne speech ignores opposition

(Story/video updated:) The Ontario legislature opened today with the speech from the throne.

Read by the Lieutenant-Governor, the speech is a vague outline of the Liberal minority government’s plan for the province over the next four years.

The plan focuses on keeping costs down, and has a few perks for students and seniors – but it doesn’t include any suggestions made by the opposition. Cristina Tenaglia has more.
