Pedestrian killed in Niagara Falls

Niagara Regional Police are investigating a collision late Sunday night that killed a pedestrian in Niagara Falls.

Police say it happened just before 10:30 on Sodom Road near miller road. A 50-year old man from Niagara Falls was walking along the rural road when he was struck by a Buick Century travelling south on Sodom Road.

The 37-year old driver of the car and his 42-year old passenger were not injured. So far no charges have been laid.

A collision reconstruction team worked for about six hours at the scene.Investigators are still trying to contact the victim’s family.
