Lockdown lifted for Paris District High School in Brant County

The lockdown has been lifted at Paris District High School (PDHS), located northwest of Brantford near Grand River Street North and St. Patrick Street.

North Ward School, located at 107 Silver St. in Paris, Ont., was in a hold and secure as a result of the lockdown. This measure has also been lifted.

The school says it was placed into this lockdown at 10:10 a.m. under the direction of police who were investigating after PDHS received a threat.

A spokesperson of PDHS tells CHCH News, “The lockdown and hold and secure were lifted at 1 p.m. As previously shared, this was a result of a threat made towards Paris District. After a thorough investigation by police, the threat was unfounded.”
