The 95th anniversary of the Academy Awards returned last night with one film winning nearly everything.

The metaphysical multiverse comedy “Everything, Everywhere All at Once” was nominated for 11 academy awards and won seven on the night, including best picture along with awards for Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Michelle Yeoh, 60, delivered a speech after receiving the best actress award encouraging people to not let others say when they’re past their prime.

Ke Huy Quan won an Oscar for the first time, “Mom I just won an Oscar,” he said through tears.

Minutes later, Quan’s castmate, Jamie Lee Cutyis won best supporting actress, she credited the team during her speech and repeatedly said “we just won an Oscar!”

Canadian-American Brendan Fraser received one of the biggest prizes of the night, winning the best actor award for his performance in “The Whale.”

The best-actor race had been one of the closest contests, but Fraser edged out Austin Butler in the end.

Another Canadian star, Sarah Polley, from Toronto also received an Oscar for best adapted screenplay for “Women Talking,” which she also directed.

“Thank you to the academy for not being mortally offended by the words ‘women’ and ‘talking,’” said Polley.

Jimmy Kimmel was hosting the night for the third time, he said anyone who wanted to “get jiggy with it” would have to fight through his bodyguards, Yeoh, Steven Spielberg and his show’s “security guard” Guillermo Rodriguez.

After last year’s infamous slap, the academy created a crisis management team to better respond to surprises. Nor Chris Rock, who recently made his remarks regarding the slap in a live special, nor Will Smith, who was banned by the academy for 10 years, attended.
