Ontario reports 95 new COVID-19 cases, one new death

Ontario is reporting 95 new cases of COVID-19, the fourth straight day new cases have below the 100 mark.

The number of resolved cases increased by 159. There was one new death.

For the fourth consecutive day, Ontario is reporting fewer than 100 cases, with 95 cases today, a 0.2% increase. With 159 more resolved, we continue to see a persistent decline in the number of active cases. Yesterday, the province processed over 26,000 tests.

Thursday’s numbers put Ontario’s total COVID-19 case count to 39,809.

There are 1,120 active cases.

Here’s how the numbers break down in our region:

Haldimand-Norfolk: 0 new cases, 30 active cases

Brant: 0 new cases, 12 active cases

Hamilton: 2 new cases, 11 active cases

Niagara: 1 new case, 57 active cases

Halton: 1 new case, 14 active cases
