Ontario reports 5,839 cases, 95 deaths over past 2 days

Ontario reported 2,476 new cases yesterday and broke the single-day record with 3,363 today.

Health officials released two days of data today due to the holiday.

Ontario processed almost 132,00 new tests with a record high of 70,570 today.

Ontario is reporting 3,363 cases of #COVID19 today, and 2,476 cases reported yesterday. Today, there are 713 new cases in Peel, 700 in Toronto, 395 in York Region, 226 in Windsor-Essex County and 171 in Hamilton.

The number of resolved cases went up 2,054 to a total of 160,526.

There are now 1,003 patients in the hospital with COVID-19 in Ontario. 322 are in intensive care with 220 on a ventilator.

A total of 4,625 people have died in the province due to the virus.
