Ontario looks to become biking mecca

The province is gearing up to cash in on the booming bike tourism business.

The Liberal government has just released a 20-year plan to make Ontario the most cyclist-friendly province in Canada.  The plan talks about connecting local bike lanes between municipalities, to create a network across Ontario.

One thing the plan doesn’t address is financing. It says it wants to develop a “funding partnership” with cities, but doesn’t say how much, if anything, the province would pony up.
