Ontario Fire Marshal investigators combed through the debris of the Historic Welland House looking for clues

The last of the fire was extinguished today, but only rubble remains of the historic Welland House. The one-time hotel has reigned over the corner of Ontario and King streets in downtown St. Catharines since the mid-eighteen hundreds, but yesterday morning the empty structure went up in flames.
