One man dead, two suspects wanted in fatal Niagara shooting

Niagara police are asking for the public’s help in locating two suspects following a fatal shooting Thursday night.

Officers say they responded to a call around 8:50 p.m. on Thorold Stone Road near Dorchester Road for reports of a man who had been shot.

Investigators say two suspects attended the residence and shot the victim with a handgun.

The age of the victim is currently unknown but he was taken to hospital and died due to his injuries.

Detectives describe the first suspect as a man between the ages of 25 and 35, who is around five-foot-six tall, has a slim build and dark skin. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, dark pants and shoes, sunglasses and a red bandana.

Police say the second suspect is a woman between the ages of 18 and 25, who has dark brown hair and brown eyes. She was last spotted wearing baggy blue sweatpants, a grey hooded sweatshirt and white shoes.

Officers say the pair parked nearby and fled the scene in a newer model white Nissan SUV, possibly similar to a Rogue.

Investigators say the incident is believed to be targeted and the public should be careful as the suspects and firearm are still outstanding.
