Niagara police arrest man following drug trafficking investigation in Ridgeway, Ont.

Niagara police have arrested a 49-year-old man from Ridgeway, Ont. following a drug trafficking investigation.

In early 2026, authorities began an investigation into the sale of illicit substances at an address on Nicholas Road.

On May 26, officers were granted a search warrant for the residence. The next day, the search warrant was executed which resulted in the arrest of Raffaele Petrazzuolo.

He has been charged with the following offences:

• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (Fentanyl)
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (Crystal Methamphetamine)
• Possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (Opioid)
• Failing to comply with probation

The following items were seized as a result of the search:

• 2.3 Grams of suspected Fentanyl
• 6.6 Grams of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine
• A large quantity of empty methadone bottles that were not prescribed to the accused
• Items consistent with the trafficking of illicit substances
• Replica BB handgun

While executing the warrant at the residence, 35-year-old Candace Kasper of Fort Erie was also arrested for failing to comply with a probation order.
