New Tim Hortons Field concerns

It’s still unclear when the city of Hamilton will officially be given the keys to Tim Hortons Field.
At a construction update, the city learned that some rooms are the wrong size, 700 seats may have obstructed views, and furniture won’t arrive until June. However, the builder says he’s confident the city can take possession by May 8th. Councillor Lloyd Ferguson blames Infrastructure Ontario for not including tough sanctions for missed deadlines in the contract.
Ferguson has 30 years in the construction business and says he’s had enough of the delays. He’s also doubtful of the May 8th date after months of missed deadlines.
Council has asked staff to send a letter to the Chair of Infrastructure Ontario, the Premier, and the minister responsible, demanding a firm date as to when the stadium will be 100 per cent ready.
