More companies vow to boycott Facebook ads in July

More companies are joining a Facebook advertising boycott next month.
They’re calling out the social media giant for how it is dealing with the spread of hateful content on its platform.
Coca-Cola, Unilever and Patagonia have planned to pull paid ads off Facebook in July as part of the #StopHateForProfit boycott.
Lululemon Athletica Inc. and Mountain Equipment Co-op and Arc’teryx have now added their names to the list.

Champions of the boycott say Facebook has not done enough to keep racist, false and dangerous content off its platform.
They say they are disappointed that the company has allowed users to call for violence against protesters fighting for racial justice.
Facebook said in a statement that it invests billions of dollars each year to keep its community safe, but knows it has more work to do.
