A recent engineering graduate from McMaster University has earned a spot in the Forbes Magazine 30 Under 30 list.

Lianna Genovese is the founder of ImaginAble Solutions, a start-up company that creates assistive technology for people with disabilities.

The invention that this company is most known for is called Guided Hands, a device that helps people with limited hand mobility to write, paint, draw and access technology.

Genovese created the first model of the Guided Hands device for a fellow McMaster student with cerebral palsy.

The device is now used by people across North America, Singapore, Australia, Europe and the United Kingdom.

ImaginAble Solutions dedicates a portion of each sale towards providing Guided Hands devices to families in need.

Guided Hands is also the recipient of the Canadian James Dyson Award and over 28 international awards.

Genovese says her main goal for the next few years is to improve the product’s accessibility through design enhancements.
