2013-0604-HeatherArthurA McMaster nursing professor is the first woman and first nurse to win a prestigious award.

Heather Arthur has won the 21st annual Terry Kavanagh prize. Doctor Kavanagh led the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute, now the Toronto Rehabilitation Centre, which established the scientific basis for cardiac rehabilitation. Arthur is considered one of the leading scientists in the country in this area and women’s cardiac health.
