Marineland visit finds good conditions

Another un-announced inspection of Marineland in Niagara Falls has found good conditions for both the animals and the environment they live in.

Canada’s Accredited Zoos and Aquariums, or CAZA did the inspection November 27th.

It reports that Marineland staff and management were co-operative, answered questions, and produced reports and logs of water quality, and animal medical records.

The water quality was found to be in good condition as was the health of the animals examined.

Staffing levels were appropriate for the number of animals in house.

The inspections follow allegations made earlier this year by former staff who claimed that animals were neglected and their environment was below standards.
