Man, woman sent to hospital after vehicle crashes into building in Brantford

Brantford police have closed parts of Colborne Street West Monday after a vehicle crashed into a building, which sent a man and a woman to hospital for injuries.

Officers say at around 2:05 p.m. a vehicle had collided with a building in the area of Shellard Lane and Colborne Street West.

They say the man who was driving the vehicle was transported to hospital for serious injuries, and a woman who was inside the building was transported to hospital for minor injuries.

Police have closed traffic on Colborne Street West between Shellard Lane and Lyndsay Street in both directions, while the investigation is underway.

They are asking drivers to use alternate routes.
