Man charged with impaired after 3 struck

A man has been charged with impaired driving after hitting 3 pedestrians in Niagara late Tuesday night.

The incident occurred at Murray Street and Niagara Parkway in Niagara Falls.

One of the pedestrians, a male, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency efforts were unsuccessful.

Another man and a woman were taken to hospital. Their condition is unknown.

The driver charged with impaired may have charges upgraded to criminal negligence causing bodily harm and impaired driving causing death following an investigation.
